Life Without ClearPlay!

This film has 9 mild obscenities (plus some slang terms) and 4 religious exclamations. Some of the action is intense with a few deaths that may be traumatizing for younger audiences.

The monsters could be a bit scary but not nightmarish. I think this movie is suitable for the tougher 7 year olds and older but ClearPlay will do wonders just by cleaning up the language.

An alien race has taken over planet Earth with the intent to make it more peaceful, harmonious and beautiful. In order to do so however, these aliens must inhabit the bodies of the humans which, in most cases, erase the consciousness of the human whose body is being hosted. In the case of Melanie Stryder things don’t go precisely like this at all and alien ‘Soul’ Wanderer must deal with Melanie’s nearly constant presence inside the body that she now inhabits. To make things even more complicated Wanderer begins to feel remorse that her race has taken over the humans at all.

This new film is the movie musical adaptation of the musical of all musicals Les Miserables! We follow the life Jean Valjean as he gets out of prison, breaks parole, becomes a mayor, adopts a child, saves a few lives and sings his way through it all. The Break Down

In this first installment of the last chapter of the Twilight series we witness the wedding of the year between Bella and Edward. We witness the breaking up of the werewolf pack, a honeymoon to make you blush and a pregnancy of miserable (and creepy) proportions. There really isn't a whole ton that happens in this movie and yet it is still over two hours long. My husband yawned dramatically. He snored wildly and groaned from boredom with the conviction of a man who has been subjected to something truly beyond his capability to endure. I sure love him for all of that!

It's Here!

Alright, this review is mainly for those of you who have read The Help and are looking forward to seeing it on screen and hoping against all hopes that Hollywood didn't mess this story up like usual. I'll let you know whether it's worth seeing in theaters or better saved for ClearPlay.

Jackson, Mississippi in the 1940's is a town where almost every woman is happily married, having babies and watching the help raise their children, clean their houses, cook their meals and do their grocery shopping. Skeeter Phelan (Emma Stone) is an awkward and aspiring young woman and writer who missed the marriage boat. She has begun to wonder what it must be like for the help to raise white babies only to watch those babies become their bosses. All while getting paid less than minimum wage. This is the story of how 3 brave women decided to tell their story in a town where their stories didn't want to be heard.

Captain America: The First Avenger

Close, But No Salute

The stage for this film is set in 1942 during WWII when every eligible young man is encouraged to enlist in the army. Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) is a short and scrawny little guy with every health problem in the book but he has the spirit of the best kind of soldier any army could ask for. It is this quality that gets him accepted into the experimental program 'Project Rebirth'. He is 'reborn' into a body that is strong and in many ways superhuman, allowing him to fight for his country and friends the way he's always wanted to.
