Blades of Glory

Chazz Michael Michaels and Jimmy MacElroy dominate the male singles figure skating world until they have a brawl and are expelled from competition. Their careers seem over until they find a loophole in the regulations. They can continue skating in couples competition as a men’s pair since the rules don’t specify that couples have to be a man and a woman. Awkwardness and silliness abound.

ClearPlay In Action!

The movie has plenty of crude language and sexual talk to filter out, creating some gaps. Also removed are some sensual situations and a decapitation. With ClearPlay, just about anyone could watch this movie if they could stand it.

Is Blades Glorious?…

This is a really dumb movie that rivals Dumb and Dumber in dumbness. You will feel your brain cells rotting and your soul disintegrating under the massive assault of lowbrow humor and a paper-thin, predictable plot. The hammy acting is on purpose, but there just isn’t a lot to redeem Blades of Glory from the bargain bin where it should have started and ended its life. Even the most stolid person will laugh at some of the gags, but most will watch, say “ugh,” and move on.
