Just before the Civil War, Django, a slave (Jamie Foxx), is freed by a
German bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz), in order to help the German find a
difficult bounty. While they are teamed
up, Django reveals he wishes to find his wife (Kerry Washington), and the
search for her leads to a Mississippi plantation and its ruthless proprietor
