ClearPlay In Action!
In terms of language and sensuality, the Avengers is fairly clean with only a few minor things to ClearPlay. The PG–13 budget is spent on violence, including gunshots, impalings, stabbings, beatings, explosions and people being tossed around. While not particularly bloody, expect some jumps and skips with filters on full during some of the high octane action scenes. With filters, it would be appropriate for teens.
Should I Join the Avengers?…
The Avengers scraped in a ridiculous pile of money at the box office and for good reason. Fun dialogue, well drawn characters, frantic action, and spectacle on a grand scale make this film a pleasure to watch. The director, Joss Whedon, deserves credit for making this ensemble movie work, fleshing out each character without bogging the movie down. In a summer of good superhero movies, The Avengers stands out as the very definition of a blockbuster. This is superhero fan nerd–vana, so enjoy!
