Back-To-School Giveaway

Already?

As many of you have probably noticed (as it is nearing the end of August and therefore the end of summer and stores are carrying a lot more pencils, pens, notebooks and kids clothes in colors navy blue, white and khaki) it is back to school time! My daughter is positively next door to herself with giddy, glee at the prospect of being a big second grader this year. And because her going back to school means less bickering between her and her brothers and the ceased exclamations of "What are we going to do today? I'm bored!" I'm thrilled for her. However, there are certain things about school that still give me some anxiety even though I'm not the one going back. I worry on behalf of my sweet second grader about homework, bullies, social drama and embarrassing moments (this couldn't possibly have anything to do with me barfing at the Senior prom and falling into the orchestra pit-not at the same time, but that's for a different post).

I need to do some serious relaxing and search for the lighter, brighter side of school and remember the good times my kids are heading for. So of course the best course of action for this is to find some awesome back-to-school movie rentals. Here's a list of some of the best school-time movies, whether you're headed back to grade school, Junior High, High School or College. At the end of the list read about our Back-To-School Giveaway.

We'd like to help you out with the stress of back to school time by offering someone a $50 Walmart Gift Certificate to either use to buy a few of your favorite school movie DVDs or some back-to-school supplies. Leave a comment on this post (or any other post) telling us either which one of these listed movies is your favorite or adding more that I've left out. School starts for us on Wednesday so that's when this giveaway will end too. Wednesday, August 25th at midnight. I'll announce the winner on Thursday the 26th. And just for fun and something to comment about does anyone know which movie this line comes from? It's a super easy one (and I've done my own ClearPlayed version by filtering out some expletives).
"I do have a test today...It's on European Socialism. I mean really, what's the point? I'm not European. I don't plan on being European. So who (cares) if they're socialists? They could be fascist anarchists, it still wouldn't change the fact that I don't own a car."
