Zombieland

Zombieland is a comic take on the zombie genre in the vein of Shaun of the Dead. In an apocalyptic world of the future, zombies litter the land and feast on the living. While making his way across the country to see if his parents have survived the zombie epidemic, the movie’s nervous hero, Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), meets up with hard-boiled Tallahasee (Woody Harrelson) and the two forge an unlikely tandem.

ClearPlay in Action!

You might think an extremely violent movie like Zombieland wouldn’t survive in its ClearPlayed form. You’d be wrong. Rated R for “horror violence/gore and language,” the ClearPlayed version removes about 100 incidents of profanity, and many graphic, violent acts. The movie derives much of its entertainment from humor, and seeing a hero approach zombies with an unusual weapon, then ClearPlayingly cutting to the aftermath of bodies is, in some ways, even funnier, leaving the carnage to your imagination. Oh … and you’ll still want to keep the kids away. Zombies, after all, are still zombies.

Is Zombieland fun, or just ghoulish?…

Featuring terrific characters and some hilarious twists, Zombieland is funny, while not being too scary for most mature viewers. If you’re in the mood for a comic-horror feast, the movie has more than enough “ham” and “corn” to go around.
